Brehme Foundation

With great influence comes great responsibility.

Über verschiedene Branchen und Zeiten hinweg vereint.

The Brehme Family

United across different industries and times.

The German Brehme family is not only known for their shared values, but also for their diverse individual achievements across different industries and eras. The members of this family have made their mark in various fields while maintaining a strong familial bond.

Even though some members of the Brehme family are known for their achievements, the Brehme Foundation operates quietly and prioritizes deeds over the family name. The foundation's philosophy is based on the belief that real change is achieved through concrete action. The members of the Brehme family tirelessly use their resources and skills for the good of the community without seeking personal recognition.

Welcome to the Brehme Foundation

Our foundation is actively committed to donor medical research in the areas of SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth) and IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and donate specifically in innovative treatment methods. This decision has personal roots as some of our family members suffer from SIBO themselves.

We are excited to announce that we donate to the MAST Program (Medically Associated Science and Technology), led by Dr. Mark Pimentel at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The MAST program is dedicated to groundbreaking research and development of innovative diagnostics and therapies, particularly focusing on the microbiome and gastrointestinal disorders, such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO).

One of the key projects within the MAST Program is the REIMAGINE Study, which is the first large-scale initiative to map the small bowel microbiome, shedding light on its crucial role in health and disease. The research has already led to breakthroughs like the development of breath tests for diagnosing SIBO and the discovery of new treatments for gut-related conditions.

We are not only patients of the MAST Program, but also actively contributing to its research efforts through donations. By supporting this vital work, we aim to help advance the diagnosis and treatment of complex microbiome-related diseases, impacting millions of lives worldwide.
